Preliminaries
Finished.
Overall I'm not very proud of this project because I dont believe I did it to my fullest potential. But I also had a sparse amount of time to work on it and I believe that was a big obstacle in how the finished project turned out.
Along the way.
Reflection
1. What is your project? What materials did you use to make it? How long did it take you to make?
- It is a painting of vines on a pillar for the Cinderella musical. I only had about 2 weeks to get it done.
2. What are the good /strong parts of your project? What is done well and why?
-I really like the right side of the pillar because it looks more realistic and spread out and not very crowded.
3. What do you think you could have done better on this project and why?
- I think I could have done a better job at making the left side look more like the right side, but some people came in and started drawing/ painting more on that side without my permission too, so thats one of the main reasons it looks different.
4. What is the deeper meaning of the project? What are you trying to communicate? What details did you use to reflect
that theme?
- There really isn't a deep meaning to my project, I was in the Cinderella musical and was asked by the director to paint vines on the pillar for the garden scenes.
5. What are the important elements? Why do you believe those are the most important?
-I would say Line and Form because the vines are basically thick lines that draw your eyes all around the whole pillar and form because if they weren't a specific way they wouldnt look like vines.
6. What are the important principles? Why do you believe those are the most important?
-I would say Balance and Movement because if it weren't balanced it would look very weird and disproportional
7. What did you learn from this project that you could apply to other projects in the future? What lessons could be applied
to life in general? Why?
- I learned that in order to get the right effect you need alot more time to work on it. I dont think this project was to my full potential but I didnt have as much time to work on it and get the details I wanted.
